13 Months Old Baby Was Sexually Assualted By Father Before Her Sudden Death

13 months Old Toddler was seriously assaulted by her father before her sudden death.

Poppi Worthington died after she was found with serious injuries at home in Barrow-in-Furness, Cumbria.

Her death has since been covered in secrecy.

The details of the case were finally released today by High Court Family Judge, after they found that her father, Paul Worthington, Sexually abused her in the hours before her tragic death.

Despite an expert warning that Poppi Worthington appeared to have been sexually abused, police and social workers failed to properly investigate the cause of the death for ten months.

Mr Justice Peter Jackson ruled in the Family Court today that although the cause of Poppi’s death cannot be ascertained, he believed her father, Paul Worthington, had carried out a “penetrative” assault on the night of her death
